The French AlpEnergy Partners - Rhônalpénergie-Environnement and Institut National Polytechnique de Grenoble - even prolonged their stay in the Allgäu region. Together with the Allgäuer Überlandwerk (AÜW) they organised a two-day study trip for a delegation of politicians, engineers and entrepreneurs from the Rhone-Alpes region. They visited two water-power plants, a large-scale photovoltaic plant, an energy farm in the municipality of Wildpoldsried as well as the network control station and the peak-load electricity generation of AÜW. Accompanied by a typical regional social and cultural program this study trip was not only a very informative but also pleasant event for all participants.

Sustainable energy supply in Alpine space - solutions, technologies, benefits and legislation PDF Print E-mail

On March 26th and 27th 2009, at Hotel Golf in Bled (Concordia Hall) Cankarjeva 4, Bled (SI)

LAMP2Green energy
and reduction of CO2 emissions are important factors for local communities, regions and countries development. In such sensitive natural balance as Alpine Space, reduction of environmental pollution is even more important than elsewhere. Excessive or uncontrolled use of energy products increases pollution, while by using green energy and good management of energy sources, CO2 emissions and other pollutants can be reduced. Within the AlpEnergy project, which is co-financed by European Union, European Territorial Cooperation – Objective 3, project partners from Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland and Slovenia are engaged in with the mentioned issue. Slovenian project partners are Regional Development Agency of Gorenjska, BSC Kranj, and Elektro Gorenjska.

The conference will try to provide answers on the following issues: succesful management of energy system of a local community or a region, that includes current and future consumers; providing green energy; when and to what extent can an area become self-supplying and therefore energy self-sufficient and finally, an influence of the local energy sources on the consumption of other energy products. The conference speakers will also give an overview of new products and services development (smart measurement of energy products), which supplement these systems, increase consumers' and energy products suppliers' savings, and approach the society to an ideal e-society. The aim of the conference is to identify development and achievements on this field, and also to exchange opinions among various representatives on the way to the non-carbonic society: ministries, local communities, developers and providers of technologies, products and services.
