WHO WE ARE 
The Fondazione Politecnico di Milano was founded in 2003 as a practical, no-profit instrument supported by the “Politecnico di Milano” Technical University and some important Founders. It is the ideal place where businesses, universities and public administrations come together. The Fondazione Politecnico di Milano opens doors to complex research for business enterprises, promotes cultural events and the dissemination of scientific thinking, while transferring new competencies to both industry and public administration.

“More opportunities for business activities” this is the mission of the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano that aims to:

• promote applied research, education, and the dissemination of scientific culture
• share innovation with businesses and public administrations
• foster the creation of new enterprises
• stimulate the increasing and diffusion of knowledge
• encourage life long education at a higher level

The Fondazione Politecnico di Milano has been strongly supported not only by the “Politecnico di Milano” Technical University but also by important industrial units as well as private and public administrations. One of the main objectives of the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano is that of enlarging the network of subjects working together for the development of new opportunities and initiatives of common projects. Different levels of participation have been defined: Founders, Institutional participants and Participants.

WHAT WE DO IN THE PROJECT
The Fondazione Politecnico di Milano has many important tasks into the full growth of AlpEnergy. The main things to do are to develop the communication for VPS, building and running a workplace inside the project website that allows the partners to create a community (sharing files and easy manage contents). It defines also logo, corporate design and key messages for PR purposes, develops the website and gives input on the web-system and its functioning, motivating other partners to use and contribute the contents. The Fondazione will assist executing partners in marketing the knowledge transfer events and will organize a final symposium. It will prepare layout, developing a final guideline up to, and editing and printing scientific studies. A relevant  task of the Fondazione Politecnico di Milano is analyse the business continuity and security of power supply with VPS, and to build a follower network: inviting followers to events, link them to project partners and urge them to use results from AlpEnergy. It collect in the same time all info and inputs from partners and will create a market description for technology and service providers in the field of VPS and entire renewable energies for electricity. At the end, will evaluate results of the pilot implementation in Mantova and possible further enhancement and extension in Italy and other Alpine Space regions.
